The lecture series is designed to:

Karen A. Johnson is an Associate
Professor of Education and
Ethnic Studies at the University
of Utah. Her area of research
are late nineteenth and early
twentieth century African
American women educators,
African-American intellectual
tradition, black feminist and
womanist theories, urban
education and refugee
education
