First PRC Spring Seminar Our first seminar speaker this spring will be Scott Gest, Ph.D., Associate Professor of Human Development and Family Studies at Penn State. NIH Announcements Dissemination and Implementation Research in Health (R01) (PAR-13-055) (also R03 and R21) HHD Small Projects Grant Program Qualitative Research Methods Mini-Course Post-doctoral Opportunity New Information on Penn State Intellectual Property Policies and Guidelines The HHD Alumni Society’s Small Projects Grant program provides students and faculty with an additional source of funding for projects that benefit the University community and/or enhance students’ experiences in HHD/Nursing. This includes: graduate student research not pertaining to a thesis or dissertation, and projects that promote collaboration among students and faculty. The Research Institute on Addictions (RIA) at the University of Buffalo has postdoctoral opportunities for graduating doctoral students. RIA’s interdisciplinary postdoctoral program offers specialized training in the etiology and course of alcohol use and misuse, and treatment for alcohol use disorders. A new section on intellectual property policies and guidelines has been added to the Policy section of GURU, entitled "Intellectual Property Policies and Guidelines." To minimize difficulty in locating the appropriate policy, these policies have been moved from their previous locations in the Research Administration or Administrative sections and placed in their own section.
