JOHNSON FEATURED IN EXHIBITS IN NEW YORK & GEORGIA Art Instructor Ann Johnson is kicking off the fall art season where she left off this summer. Johnson’s work is currently being featured in two exhibitions this fall in Brooklyn, NY, and Macon, Georgia. As a member of the National Alliance of Artists from Historically Black Colleges and Universities, Johnson is showing in the exhibition Afrofuturism Rising: Black Art Across The Spectrum at the Tubman Museum of African American Art in Macon, GA. Johnson submitted a work from her Nesting series that explores the effects of technology and digital isolation. Johnson was also invited to be in the exhibition Power. Protest. And Resistance at the Skylight Gallery in Brooklyn, NY. Johnson’s works titled: It just keeps happening, and The Hunted, examine the violent and tragic loss of life in the Black community. As Johnson continues to make waves in the art community, she continues to push the boundaries of experimental printmaking. Images: (Top) It just keeps happening, transfer print on sunglasses, 2015.
