JOHNSON FEATURED IN THE INTERNATIONAL REVIEW OF AFRICAN AMERICAN ART Art Instructor Ann Johnson is featured in the Spring edition of the International Review of African American Art (IRAAA). The International Review of African American Art is a quarterly art journal published at Hampton University. It is the preeminent review of artists of the African diaspora. The Spring 2015 issue of IRAAA focuses on emerging artists. Through feature articles, artist statements, interviews, and exhibition reviews, a dynamic view of the contemporary and diverse face of emerging artists in America are presented. At the heart of the issue is a special printed exhibition featuring the work of sixteen artists to watch, whose innovative and inquisitive style are gaining national and international attention. Johnson is featured as an “Artists To Watch”. Johnson is one of two Texas based artists featured. The other Texas artist is Conroe native Delita Pinchback Martin, with whom Johnson has exhibited with on several occasions.
