advisor,etc.Allprinterswereaffectedbypoweroutagethatputdowninternet
services.
TheU.S.DepartmentofEducationisinvestigatingACCJC.ArticleonInsideHigher
EducationToday.
Thelastde‐registrationwillbethisweek.Studentswhodon’tpayfeesafterfinal
de‐regwillhaveaholdonregistrationforthenextsemester.
Mendoheadcountisatonlyat31%;usuallyin50%.Thepriorityobjectiveisto
providefullloadsforfulltimefaculty.
Thecollegehasbecomemuchmoreproficientatusingcostanalysisaspartofthe
decisionmakingprocessregardingcoursesandfaculty.
Thereareseveralissueswithdistanceeducationcoursesthatrequirecloser
scrutiny:Thestatehascertainregulationsforoutofstatestudentstakingonline
courses;thechancellor’sofficehasspecificrequirementsforallocatingFTE’sto
differentsites.JeffandKeithareresearchingtherulesforDEofferings.
StudentIDcardsarenolongerbeingissue.Somediscussiononwhatstudent
groupsmayneedthemandiftheyarenecessary.CRcaninvestigateusingthe
HigherOnecards,ifnecessary.
