1. This course is being developed based on the needs of several disciplines to offer
internships. This course would replace the cooperative work experience and would allow
the internships to be faculty-driven.
2. The committee has concerns with how this course will be offered, including: how to limit
enrollments, how students will find internships and the amount of time that a student will
have to find an internship, how will the student be supervised.

1. After looking at 5 years worth of data, very few students were completing these programs.
The Agriculture Department has inactivated these programs (Associate of Science, Plant
Science; Certificate of Achievement, Plant Science; Certificates of Recognition, Nursery

of Science in Agriculture, General.
