Resolution 16-09-F
A resolution to move the location of the campus tours from the Cope Administration
Building to the Recreation Center.
WHEREAS:
Campus tours currently start in the Cope Administration Building.
WHEREAS:
This is to cut down on time MTSU visitors spend looking for parking as
well as the actual location of the tours.
WHEREAS:
The MTSU Recreation Center would be a good place for tours to start
because it is one of our newly renovated buildings on campus, and we
want to make a good first impression to those who are interested in
MTSU.
WHEREAS:
Some may argue that the Recreation Center is an easier building to find in
comparison to the Cope Administration Building.
WHEREAS:
Parking close to the Recreation Center is more likely than parking close to
the Cope Administration Building.
WHEREAS:
The tour sign-in area will be located where the ping-pong tables are
currently located.
WHEREAS:
The ping-pong tables will be moved back to original location, which is in
the area behind the information desk, out in front of the aerobics room
downstairs.
THEREFORE, LET IT BE RESOLVED BY THE 72ND CONGRESS OF THE STUDENT
GOVERNMENT ASSOCIATION OF MTSU THAT:
Section 1: Campus tours will begin in the Recreation Center rather than the Cope Administration
Building.
Section 2: The tours will meet where the ping-pong tables are currently.
Section 3: The ping-pong tables will be moved to the area in front of the aerobics room across
from the indoor pool.
