Greg and Chase will need to apply the Financial Aid 8.3 update before allowing users on. CU users will need to login and verify their access BEFORE they show up for training next week. Debbie will send out an email today to say that we’re working on the update but they should plan on an email tomorrow and be ready to test their access before training. Included in the account information email should be: FERPA reminder URL of webpage that link to TEST is available and reminder that they can also click on the documentation link from this page without having to login to the CU Banner website. TRNG will no longer be available starting Wednesday at 5:00 pm Who to contact if they have issues The initial accounts will be set up without the password expiring. Once we are through training next week and users have had time to verify their access, passwords will be set to expire and users will need to change the initial password. Patches There are 29 upgrades to get us to the latest version on Page 2 Cameron University Banner Project Meeting Agenda and Notes Topics Discussion, Information Banner and they have to be in a particular order except for the financial aid upgrade. Greg and Chase are working on these. Each upgrade requires exclusive access for the database and they will be coordinating down time. Greg and Julie have the TRNG banner prefix set to zero and a decision was needed for what to start the banner id at. The number needs to be high enough to not impact the period of dual entry in BOX and banner. Banner ID TRNG letters Linda requested that the letters created last week in TRNG be copied to TEST and PPRD. However, Anna indicated that you can’t copy letters created in one database to another database. Many of the letters created during training were just playing around and will not need copied, but it would be extremely helpful to be able to copy the letters – especially from TEST to PPRD rather than dual entry. Banner Consultants access to TEST Finance Bridges May 29, 2016 Action Taken, Decisions, Recommendations, Time Line Decision was made to set the number at 300000 for now. After we have been on Banner for awhile, we might set the number back down to 1 and allow Banner to fill in the gaps of numbers that were not used. Sherry’s recollection of how the BOX/Banner dual entry would be done was that it involved using the alternate id. Several others assumed the BOX ID would be manually entered in as Banner ID. We will need to ask more questions about this. Sherry will inquire with the remote DBA for her opinion. Banner consultants will be given the same access as team leads to TRNG. Sherry will send them an “expect your login” email today and Debbie will include them when she sends the account information emails out tomorrow. Rick indicated per his call with Kelli Flynn this morning that we may not need one of the bridges because of Higher One. Rick will discuss this more with Ninette. They have another conference call tomorrow.
