- Set up for those who investing into the UK by setting up or taking over a company and being actively
involved.
- £50,000 to £200,000 to invest, funds must be held in regulated financial institution.
- 95 points required. 75 points for attributes, 10 points English language and 10 points for maintenance.
- £50,000 : UK entrepreneurial seed funding competition by UKTI. UK government department. Venture
capital firm registered with FCA.
- £200,000 : Own. Third parties. Joint account.
- 3 years and 4 months
Tier 1 Investor

High net worth individuals making substantial investment into the UK
6th November 2014 increase to £2 million investment
75 points required – No maintenance or English language requirement
Money under own control and is held in financial institution and disposable in the UK

1,000 visa a year granted. 250 The Arts Council. 250 The Royal Society - natural sciences and

Endorsed by a UK Higher Education Institution. Awarded a minimum of a bachelors degree.
Confirmation that the applicant has (a) genuine business idea (b) majority of time on developing
business venture and (c) if the last leave was Tier 1 GE has made progress in developing the
business
Tier 2 General

50 points required - 30 for Resident Labour Market Test or Exemption. 20 - Appropriate Salary
Resident Labour Test – 28 days in specific publications
Shortage Occupation List
Maximum of 5 years.
Settlement application – written letter from company and earning more than £35,000.
Tier 5 Government Authorised Exchange Scheme

Over arching body with a Tier 5 GAE sponsor licence.
Share knowledge and best practice and experience the social and cultural life of the UK
Temporary Visas : Research – 24 months. Work experience – 12 months

Criteria for applicants

A recent graduate (beginning your internship within 3 years of completing your studies) from:

Having studied in the UK University, Or

Other overseas top-ranked universities
3. Legal & Immigration

The applicant has NO criminal records or any pending court cases
The applicant must inform us of full detail of previous immigration history
Criteria for employer and the role
1. Length of job offer

National Minimum Wage (£6.70 from October 2015) or higher

Working 20 hours/week and adhere to all other UK employment laws

Can I switch to Tier 5 GAE in the UK?
You can switch in the UK to Tier 5 GAE, only if
- You are on a Tier 4 visa
- You have finished your degree
- Your job will be directly related to your degree
- You submit your Tier 5 GAE application to UKVI before your current visa expires
