For Immediate Release – Lawton, OK, Oct. 27, 2005 CU’s history club, Phi Alpha Theta to host Halloween celebration, costume contest Cameron University’s History Club and history honor’s society, Phi Alpha Theta, will host a Halloween celebration from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday, Oct. 31, in the Student Activities Building. The Halloween festivities are free and open to all CU students. Door prizes will be handed out, and all students who attend will receive a treat bag. There will be food for purchase at the event, including chili Frito pie, baked goods and Halloween treats. The celebration will feature a magic show from 12:15-12:45 p.m., and a costume contest for the best historical costume and best overall costume. Three faculty members from the department of history and government will serve as costume judges. Students wishing to participate in the costume show must obtain a number from the judging booth to place on their costume.
