Mace joins Cameron University’s PR staff
Former Mountain View resident Laci Mace recently assumed responsibilities as a media projects
coordinator in Cameron University’s Office of Government and Community Relations.
Mace earned her bachelor’s degree in public relations and organizational communication from Cameron in
2002, and is currently completing requirements for her Master of Public Administration degree through the
University of Oklahoma. While at Cameron, she took part in numerous campus organizations and activities,
and was actively involved in the community.
As Coordinator of Media Projects, Mace assists with the day-to-day duties of the Office of Government and
Community Relations, including handling public and media requests for information, keeping elected
officials apprised of events and projects at CU, publicizing the accomplishments of students and faculty,
designing publications, planning and executing university events and writing articles for brochures, news
releases and Cameron Magazine, the university’s alumni publication.
Mace is a member of the American Society for Public Administration, Intergovernmental Administration and
Management, Women in Public Administration and the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to
Animals.
