Sir, Madam,
We hereby inform you that the Régie de l’énergie (the Régie) has rendered decisions D2016-059 and D-2016-066 in file R-3943-2015 - Demande d’adoption de normes de
fiabilité en suivi de la décision D-2015-059. You may consult these decisions at the
following links:

D-2016-059:
energie.qc.ca/projets/331/DocPrj/R-3943-2015-A-0008-Dec-Dec-2016_04_13.pdf;
- final decision D-2016-066: http://publicsde.regie-energie.qc.ca/projets/331/DocPrj/R3943-2015-A-0009-Dec-Dec-2016_04_26.pdf.
In these decisions, the Régie adopts and puts into effect, on July 1, 2016, seven new
standards and their Québec appendices, in their French and English versions. The reliability
Coordinator for Québec filed the final versions of these standards on April 29, 2016. Thus,
the final text of standards is now published on the compliance monitoring website of the
Régie
at
the
following
link:
http://www.regieenergie.qc.ca/en/audiences/NormesFiabiliteTransportElectricite/NormesFiabiliteUlterieure.
html.
The coming into effect, on July 1, 2016, of seven new standards, brings the total of
mandatory standards to 42, with no changes to the number of applicable functions. A
supporting document has been published on the Régie’s website to present all this
information. Thus, the complete table of standards put into effect on July 1, 2016 and
applicable functions is now available at the following address: http://www.regieenergie.qc.ca/en/audiences/NormesFiabiliteTransportElectricite/RegistreEntites.html.
Furthermore, the Régie has recently made several changes to its website to better
distinguish the regulatory activities related to the reliability of electric power transmission
systems from the activities related to the Reliability Standards compliance monitoring and
enforcement.

You may therefore consult the current regulatory files by choosing, in the menu bar of the
main page, the « Audiences et décisions » tab followed by the « Audiences en cours » tab
to finally click on « Électricité – Fiabilité du réseau de transport » link
(http://publicsde.regieenergie.qc.ca/_layouts/publicsite/AudiencesEnCours.aspx?TypeDeProjet=14). This link is
available on the French site.
The link as well as the web page for Reliability Standards compliance monitoring and
enforcement activities (previously known as « Electric Power Transmission Reliability
Standards »), have been renamed under: « Electric Power Transmission Reliability
Standards Compliance Monitoring and Enforcement ». The information is therefore now
available
at
the
following
address:
http://www.regieenergie.qc.ca/en/audiences/NormesFiabiliteTransportElectricite/index.html.
