“Frequently asked questions” published on the website of the Régie de
l’énergie
Sir, Madam,
The Régie de l’énergie (the Régie) hereby wishes to inform you of some developments as
well as of the 2016 calendar of events in the mandatory regime of Reliability Standards.
The Régie informs you that it has rendered the following decisions:
 interlocutory decision D-2015-213 in file R-3952-2015 - Demande relative à la
méthodologie d’identification des éléments du réseau de transport principal.
In this decision the Régie approves changes to the Registry of entities subject to
Reliability Standards (the Registry); in particular the addition of a new Appendix G
specifying the ten facilities for which Reliability Standards are not applicable.
For more information, you may consult, at the following links on our website:

 decision D-2016-011 in file R-3699-2009 Phase 2 - Demande d’Hydro-Québec par
sa direction Contrôle des mouvements d’énergie dans ses fonctions de coordonnateur
de la fiabilité au Québec visant l’adoption du Guide des sanctions et l’entrée en
vigueur des normes de fiabilité de la phase 1.
In this decision the Régie adopts the French version of the Sanctions Guide for the
Enforcement of the Reliability Standards in effect in Québec (the Guide). However,
the Guide will be effective 120 days after the adoption of its English version.
2
Moreover, the Régie requested that the Coordinator indicate a deadline for the
translation of the Guide in English.
In the same decision, the Régie sets April 1, 2016 as the effective date for two
standards that were already adopted. Hence, at that date, the number of the effective
standards will be 33.
