• Coordinated OPG’s participation in all IESO stakeholdering activities
• Initiated a review by the NEB of their cost recovery regulation
• Supervised the preparation of OPG’s Application to FERC for Market
Based Rate Authority including filing of the mandated triennial review
and coordinating OPG’s participation in the Court review of this
licence including liaising with OPG’s attorneys and FERC attorneys.

• Head of a Section, with up to seven staff, reporting to the Manager of
Interconnections
• Supervised the preparation of Ontario Hydro’s application to FERC
for Market Based Rate Authority, including securing approvals from
the Ontario Ministry of Energy
• Analyzed and reported on legislative and regulatory developments in
the U.S. with respect to their implications for increased Ontario Hydro
export opportunities
• Identified and developed non-conventional market opportunities (in
the period 1993-1997)
• Prepared filings to the National Energy Board for new or amended
Export Permits in 1986 and 1990 including securing Provincial
Government approvals for these filings
• Represented Ontario Hydro in consultations with the National Energy
Board and Federal Department of Energy, Mines and Resources on
revised Energy Policy
