2014 ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT CEREMONY
SALAMENO SCHOOL OF HUMANITIES AND GLOBAL STUDIES
The outstanding student in LIBERAL STUDIES goes to LAURA SANCIC.
Laura is a member of the Golden Key Honor Society, Ramapo Chorale, and a Women's
Center volunteer.
Laura was selected to represent Ramapo College at the 2013 Council of Public Liberal
Arts Colleges (COPLAC) Northeast Regional Undergraduate Research Conference. Her
faculty mentor was Susan Hangen and the research work was titled Assimilation and
Acculturation Among Ghanaians in Urban Areas.
She studied abroad in South India this spring and volunteers at St. Clare's Hospital in
Dover.
Laura plans to pursue graduate work in linguistics.
