2014 ACADEMIC ACHIEVEMENT CEREMONY SALAMENO SCHOOL OF HUMANITIES AND GLOBAL STUDIES The outstanding student in INTERNATIONAL STUDIES goes to TRACY HARRSCH. Tracy is a member of Sigma Iota Rho international honors society and the National Society of Collegiate Scholars. Tracy completed her senior seminar research on the prevention of Cambodia's human trafficking industry. She also volunteered in Lima Peru through International Volunteer Headquarters (IVHQ) for a month working with special needs orphans, teaching English to a kindergarten class, and one-on-one English to sexually abused teenage girls. Tracy was a Business Development Intern with Course Hero Inc. She marketed the Knowledge Drive initiative to 30 plus students at 15 Universities and sent 70 books abroad through Books for Africa. She also worked with New York Blood Center to plan a community blood drive. Tracy hopes to work in advocacy for women's issues and human rights such as human trafficking prevention.
