Committee Reports Gen Ed submissions are due to ARC by October 5, 2015. F.A.E.C. discussed feedback about community engagement ideas from the Unit. On-line evaluations will be opt out for both Winter & Summer 2016 Sessions. A new Gen Ed implementation possible by Fall 2017. Gen Ed Taskforce will host an open forum on September 30. Taskforce On Scheduling asked for a full academic year to establish a permanent schedule. Those who are considering applying for promotion should reach out to both their convener and the chair of the Unit Personnel committee. AFT encourages members to let their students know that they are working without a contract. Dean’s Report Classrooms for the Spring 2016 semester have been finalized. This semester all New First Time and Transfer students’ degree evaluations will show courses that count as writing intensive. There are funds still available for Student/Faculty Research On September 17 all College Major Files will freeze. Submissions are still being taken for the SSHGS Newsletter. Readings at Ramapo will host its first event on September 28. SSHGS Colloquium will host its first event on September 30. Africana Studies will host Khalil Gibran Muhammed on October 21. Tonight at 9:40 there will be a Percussion Ensemble event. By September 18 C.O.P.L.A.C. applications are due to the Dean.
