A faculty member who decides to resign shall, as soon as possible, notify the
appropriate dean of the decision in writing. The dean shall notify the Provost and
Vice Chancellor for Academic Affairs, who shall then forward the notice to the
Chancellor
Retirement
Move C. Retirement to Section X and have a section in Section X about Phased Retirement.
A faculty member may retire in accordance with the provisions of Chapter 135 of the
North Carolina General Statutes. The university may offer a phased retirement
program to eligible faculty members.
