It was previously difficult for students completing the Soil Science minor to fulfill the 12 credit units outside the major requirement of a minor. The Soil Science minor is also being approved for offer as a cross college minor allowing students in other colleges to complete the minor, where it is also approved for their program. The course will focus on economic tools and human dimensions of management and policy applied to land, water, wildlife and forest.. of the application of these tools in renewable resource management and policy will be demonstrated using examples of initiatives for renewable resources in Canada and other countries. With the introduction of Degree Works, it is necessary to provide this information so that students (and advisors) will be able to use the software to determine their program requirements and progress. 5 Bachelor of Arts Honours (B.A. Honours) - Sociology (Aboriginal Justice and Criminology (ABJAC)) This program is intended to prepare Aboriginal students for careers in the criminal justice system. This course work includes two 12-week practicum-based courses, normally held in the summer, designed to provide students with the opportunity to gain work experience at local, national or international justice agencies and organizations. It is recommended that students intending to complete this program consult the department in the spring of their final year in high school or during their first year of university studies to determine an appropriate sequence of courses and to arrange registration in the practicum. No more than 6 credit units from one subject may be used to meet Requirements B1 to B4.
