Holy Rosary Primary School Science Week, 27 Nov – 01 Dec 2006 Holy Rosary Science week it has to be said proved to be a great success. A variety of activities were held in the school each day which ranged from information on healthy eating and exercise to descriptions of the planets, to class based experiments. All classes for Junior Infants through to Sixth Class were involved. ITT Dublin facilitated one of the days with talks and experiments. The students received tee-shirts with the Science week logo to mark the event. The objectives of the week were well met in that it raised the student’s awareness of science in their environment; it let them see that science could be fun and hopefully sparked an interest in some that they can carry forward with them. Sponsorship for the event was kindly provided by Wyeth Biopharma, Institute of Chemistry of Ireland, International Society for Pharmaceutical Engineers and ITT Dublin.
