Submission guidelines
Naming your files
The text should be double-spaced and in Times New Roman 12-point font.
Clear and consistent file-naming conventions are crucial. You must create a separate
document for every major subdivision of the text:
 prelims
sections
 individual
chapters
 end
matter sections (with individual items in individual files)
 any
illustrations, figures, tables, and so on
Name each document meaningfully and consistently using the following example formats:
[author surname]_contents.doc
[author surname]_list_illustrations.doc
[author surname]_preface.doc
[author surname]_ch01.doc
[author surname]_appendix01.doc
[author surname]_bibliography.doc
[author surname]_list_fonts_used.doc

1
Other text elements:
Main text, including footnotes or endnotes
Bibliography/References *
Appendices *
Figures separate from main text
Figure captions separate from main text
* = if applicable
Artwork
Figures should be sequentially numbered by chapter and figure number (for example, the
third figure in chapter 1 will be “Figure 1.3”) and saved with the figure.
Include placement indicators for all figures in numerical order in the manuscript at the ends of
paragraphs where you want the art to appear. For example:
[INSERT FIGURE 1.3 HERE]
Permissions
It is the author’s responsibility to clear copyright for all text and illustrative material that is not
your own work. You should be clearing English language and world distribution rights and it
should be made clear to the copyright holder you are seeking permission to use the material
in an Open Access publication. Please keep a record of all permissions received and supply
a collated version to the Managing Editor at the time of manuscript delivery.
