Jessica Croson Jessica Croson has taught high school science for fourteen years. She holds a Master’s degree in secondary science education from the University of North Carolina Wilmington and is Nationally Board Certified in Young Adult Science. Jessica is currently teaching at Heide Trask High School in Rocky Point, North Carolina. She is also a coach for the school’s Science Olympiad team and coadviser for the school’s National Honors Society. In the past, Jessica worked with the North Carolina Summer Ventures in Science and Math program as an RA, TA, and eventually a Master Teacher. She enjoys creating project based learning opportunities that enhance learning and student engagement. She develops a variety of vocabulary strategies that enriches scientific literacy in her classroom. She has presented at regional and local conferences on an array of vocabulary strategies.
