Saturday, Feb. 8
College of DuPage will
host its second annual
Career Fair, sponsored
by the Chicago Tribune,
from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on
Saturday, Feb. 8, in
SRC 2000. During the fair, attendees will have the
opportunity to meet with recruiters from more than 70 local
employers who have positions to fill. For more information,

Three’s a Charm!
COD recently celebrated the opening of the Physical Education
Center, Library and McAninch Arts Center (above) with three
ribbon cuttings in one morning. The three facilities reopened at
the beginning of January after extensive renovations, and all
were funded by the successful 2010 bond referendum. Click

COD Library Reopens for Students, Staff, Community
The College of DuPage Library is now fully open after an
18-month, $40 million two-phase renovation transformed
the space to meet the needs of current and future users.
“We’ve been planning for this renovation for many years,”
said Ellen Sutton, Dean of Learning Resources. “The
results provide students with a wide range of study spaces
and the entire college community with a state-of-the-art

Alum Robyn Coffin Featured
in Super Bowl Ads
Former COD Theater student
Robyn Coffin was featured in
a Microsoft computer ad
viewed by millions of
Seahawk and Bronco fans
during last weekend’s Super
Bowl. Click here to watch
the ad. During her time at
COD, Coffin earned the John Belushi Memorial
Scholarship, which made it possible for her to attend
school. She then transferred to Columbia College,
where she earned a bachelor’s degree in Theater.
Since graduating from Columbia, Coffin has
appeared in 45 professional shows. Most recently,
she has a recurring role on the NBC drama “Chicago
Fire” and is an ensemble member of the Factory

COD Reaches Historic Headcount
Once again bucking regional and national trends, College of
DuPage has recorded its highest ever total headcount
enrollment for a spring term. The College’s net 10th day credit
headcount (full- and part-time students) for the spring 2014
semester reached 28,100, up 1 percent from last spring. FullTime Equivalent (FTE) enrollment climbed 1.8 percent for
spring to 15,626 students. “At a time when community
colleges are seeing regional and national downward trends,
College of DuPage is attracting record numbers of students
who know they can achieve their educational goals right
here,” said President Dr. Robert L. Breuder. Read More

Scholar Visit Day Moved to Feb. 12
Due to last weekend’s weather, Scholar Visit Day has been
moved to Wednesday, Feb. 12, from 6 to 8 p.m. in SRC 2000.
During this free event, participants will receive information about
scholarships available to high-achieving students, as well as a
campus tour. This session is geared toward District 502 high
school students graduating in 2014 with 3.75/4 grade point
