Autismerica members Tyler Hrunek of Carol Stream (left) and Josh Romaniak of Naperville enjoy an evening at Dave and Busters in Addison during a summer outing for the group, which also met at Brunswick Zone in Naperville last month. The social and educational club for students with autism and their families and friends meets monthly during fall and spring semesters at the College’s main campus. COD Earns National Strategic Planning Award Vice President of Planning and Institutional Effectiveness Jim Benté recently accepted the 2014 Richard Goodman Strategic Planning Award from the Association for Strategic Planning (ASP) on behalf of the College. Applicants for this award are judged on seven key criteria, including process, industry analysis, customer analysis, implementation, process improvement, innovation and performance management. Sunny Kapoor, Chairman of the Richard Goodman Awards Committee, cited COD for its “efficient approach to gleaning the most pressing areas of strategic focus” and for the College’s “clear evidence of outcomes.” Benté was recently elected to serve as a member of the ASP Chicago’s 2014-2015 Board of Directors.
