MUNICIPAL ADMINISTRATOR’S CORE EDUCATION PROGRAM
MODULE FOUR (4) – BASIC MUNICIPAL ACCOUNTING
Professional Municipal Administrators (PMA) are offering Module 4 of its Core Education
Program entitled BASIC MUNICIPAL ACCOUNTING. This course will be very
beneficial to both Administrators and Councillors to ensure that they have an
understanding of the basic accounting principles that are required at the municipal level. It
will provide information on basic fundamental accounting principles, the components of the
municipal financial management cycle, the importance of financial statements, and an
overview of Public Sector Accounting Board (PSAB) requirements for municipalities,
including Tangible Capital Assets (TCA).
