SOME OF OUR ACTIVITIES:
*Create animal masks (Lion, Zebra)
*Make animals using pattern blocks
*Beginning sound sorting game
*HWT: magnetic boards, play dough, mini chalk boards (wet, try dry)
with letters (take turns picking a letter card from a bag)
*Sort animals by Habitat
*Create animal puppets (Frog, Raccoon)
*Measure (and compare) animals
*Sort animals varying characteristics
*Count zebra stripes
*Use Wikki Stixs (worms) to create numbers
*Duplicate, Extend, and Create patterns (using foam fish and
pattern cards)
*Use Light Table to observe and compare animal x-rays
*Games (Turtle Picnic, Squiggle Worm, Gone Fishing, Bear Bingo):
turn-taking, fine motor, and reinforcing concepts
