Rationale for University Operating Policies and Procedures
It will benefit all members of the University community to implement the following.




Review and update of current policies and procedures on a regular basis
Identification of an office or administrator responsible for implementation and timely
review and revision
Guidelines and a process to ensure policies and procedures are clearly written, contain
necessary information, and follow a uniform format
A transparent procedure to ensure that creation and revision of policies and procedures
follow the campus shared governance process
