How to use Roll It Recap for Revision!
Working in pairs or teams, take turns to roll the dice for a
column and then again for a row.
Students place their answer on the grid if correct. The student
with the most correct answers wins the game.
Benefits:
• Each student gets a turn to speak or answer and are accountable to
teammates for contributing if used as a class game.
• Practice respectful and focused listening.
• The more we review, the stronger we make the memory, the longer
we can remember it.
• Social interaction activates the brain the most!
• It makes revision engaging and meaningful.
• The game can be adapted for all students needs and used at home
as a family game.
TOP TIPS and IDEAS
Assign each teammate with
different coloured post it
notes or get them to write
their name on them.
You could use coloured
tokens instead, as a verbal
exercise.
You could use this as a team
game, with the first team to
complete their board
successfully as the winners!
Your students could create
their own game using their
Knowledge Organisers as part
of the revision strategy or for
reviewing a topic.
