PLEASE LEAVE THIS MANUAL ON THE COUNTERTOP OF THE INSTRUCTOR’S STATION Science Building THIS ROOM IS EQUIPPED WITH: COMPUTER VIDEO AUDIO PC Video Projector Wall Speakers Guest Device Connection Document Camera Audio Amplifier Wireless Presenter VCR/DVD Player AV Control Extron MediaLink System Extron MediaLink System VCR/DVD 1 A208 A208 EQUIPMENT OVERVIEW Panasonic PT-F300 Projector This room is equi pped with an Extron MediaLink system that allows users to quickly and easily switch between different sources. The inputs on the switch are clearly indicated and will correspond to the device you wish to use. To operate the projector: 1.) Press the Display ON button on the MediaLink system. (The ON button will blink for 30-45 seconds while the system warms up.) 2.) Select the appropriate video device using the INPUT buttons on the MediaLink system. 3.) Adjust the VOLUME knob on the MediaLink system to reach the desired level. On/Off Input Buttons 2 PROJECTOR Volume Knob Audio Amplifier To adjust audio settings: Like video settings, the audio for all devices may be adjusted with the volume controls on the MediaLink system. To adjust audio settings: 1.) Adjust the VOLUME knob on the MediaLink system to reach the desired level. Windows System Volume Volume Knob 3 AUDIO SYSTEM Note: When the computer is used for audio, sound is also controlled via the Windows System Volume. This may also need to be adjusted to reach the desired volume. Samsung SDP-860 Document Camera 1.) Make sure the document camera and the projector are turned ON. 2.) Use the corresponding input button on the MediaLink system to select the document camera as the video source. 4 DOCUMENT CAMERA To use the document camera: Sony SLV-D380P VCR/DVD Combo 1.) Turn on the projector by pressing the POWER button on the MediaLink system. (See page 2.) 2.) Use the DVD/VCR input button on the MediaLink system to select the combo player as the audio/video source. 3.) Turn on the combo player by pressing the POWER button and insert your media to begin playing. 4.) Use the VCR/DVD button on the combo player to select between playing a VHS Tape or a DVD. 5 VCR/DVD To use the VCR/DVD Combo: HP Computer To use the computer: 1.) LOGON to the computer using your UWSP username and password. 2.) To display the computer’s screen on the projector, press the ON button on the Extron Controller. After the ON button stops flashing, press the PC button on the Extron Controller to select the computer as the audio/video source. Unlocking a computer: If the PC’s screen indicates that it has been locked by another user, you can unlock the system by restarting it. To restart a locked computer: 1.) Press and hold the POWER button on the computer until it shuts down (typically, you will need to hold the button for 5 to 10 seconds before the sequence will begin). 2.) Press the power button again to restart the PC. When the login screen appears, enter your UWSP username and password. NOTE TO USERS: 6 COMPUTER Please remember to logoff the computer when finished. After 60 minutes of inactivity, classroom computers will automatically lock, preventing subsequent users from logging on. If a computer has accidentally been left locked by another user, please see the section on “Unlocking a Computer” above. EXIT SECOND FLOOR EXIT EXIT EXIT EXIT EXIT HDMI & DisplayPort Guest Device Connection To connect a mobile device: 1.) HDMI - Disconnect the DisplayPort adapter from the HDMI cable (if connected) and connect your mobile device to the provided HDMI cable. DisplayPort - Connect your mobile device to the provided DisplayPort adapter and then connect the DisplayPort adapter to the provided HDMI cable. ● If your device does not have a DisplayPort or HDMI connection, contact Tech Support for further assistance. ● Some devices have proprietary, mini, or micro connections and will require an additional adapter to connect to the room’s AV system. ● Also, some devices require proper configuration to utilize an external display. To configure your device accordingly, please refer to the instructions provided by your manufacturer. 2.) Use the corresponding input buttons on the projector remote to select the guest device as the video source. ● When the correct projector input is selected while the guest device is connected, the AV system will automaticly switch from the comptuer to the guest device.
