PLEASE LEAVE THIS MANUAL ON THE COUNTERTOP OF THE INSTRUCTOR’S STATION Collins Classroom Center THIS ROOM IS EQUIPPED WITH: COMPUTER VIDEO AUDIO PC Video Projector Wall Speakers Laptop Connection Document Camera Wireless Presenter Blu-Ray Player Built-In Stereo Audio Amplifier AV SWITCH Extron MediaLink System Extron MediaLink Controller Blu-Ray Player 1 303 303 EQUIPMENT OVERVIEW Panasonic PT-LZ370 Projector This room is equi pped with an Extron MediaLink system that allows users to quickly and easily switch between different sources. The inputs on the switch are clearly indicated and will correspond to the device you wish to use. To operate the projector: 1.) Press the Display ON button on the Extron switch. (The ON button will blink for 30 seconds while the system warms up.) 2.) Select the appropriate video device using the INPUT buttons on the Extron switch. 3.) Adjust the VOLUME knob on the Extron switch to reach the desired level. On/Off Input Buttons 2 PROJECTOR Volume Knob Built-In Stereo Audio Amplifier To adjust audio settings: Like video settings, the audio for all devices may be adjusted with the volume controls on the Extron controller. To adjust audio settings: Adjust the VOLUME knob on the Extron controller to reach the desired level. Volume Knob 3 AUDIO SYSTEM 1.) Samsung SDP-860 Document Camera 1.) Make sure the document camera and the projector are turned ON. 2. Select the corresponding input button listed on the PROJECTOR page. 3.) If you’d like to display the document camera image in a PC window, follow the SDP Viewer Software Quick Guide on the next page. 4 DOCUMENT CAMERA To use the document camera: Sony Blu-Ray Player 1.) Make sure the combo unit, projector, and receiver are turned ON. 2.) Use the BLU-RAY button on the MediaLink controller to select the VCR as the video source. 5 DVD/VCR To use the Blu-Ray Player: HP Computer To use the computer: 1.) LOGON to the computer using your UWSP username and password. 2.) To display the computer’s screen on the projector, turn the projector on using the ON button on the Extron controller. Then press the corresponding input button on the projector remote to choose the PC as the video source (see the “PROJECTOR” page). Unlocking a computer: If the PC’s screen indicates that it has been locked by another user, you can unlock the system by restarting it. To restart a locked computer: 1.) Press and hold the POWER button on the computer until it shuts down (typically, you will need to hold the button for 5 to 10 seconds before the sequence will begin). 2.) Press the power button again to restart the PC. When the login screen appears, enter your UWSP username and password. NOTE TO USERS: 6 COMPUTER Please remember to logoff the computer when finished. After 60 minutes of inactivity, classroom computers will automatically lock, preventing subsequent users from logging on. If a computer has accidentally been left locked by another user, please see the section on “Unlocking a Computer” above. HDMI & DisplayPort Guest Device Connection To connect a mobile device: 1.) HDMI - Disconnect the DisplayPort adapter from the HDMI cable (if connected) and connect your mobile device to the provided HDMI cable. DisplayPort - Connect your mobile device to the provided DisplayPort adapter and then connect the DisplayPort adapter to the provided HDMI cable. ● If your device does not have a DisplayPort or HDMI connection, contact Tech Support for further assistance. ● Some devices have proprietary, mini, or micro connections and will require an additional adapter to connect to the room’s AV system. ● Also, some devices require proper configuration to utilize an external display. To configure your device accordingly, please refer to the instructions provided by your manufacturer. 2.) Use the HDMI button on the Extron controller to select the guest device as the video source. ● When the correct projector input is selected while the guest device is connected, the AV system will automaticly switch from the comptuer to the guest device. HDMI Cable DisplayPort Adapter 7 GUEST DEVICES Wireless internet connections are also available in most classrooms.
