Please explain/justify the new proposal or change. 
The BFA core is being lowered by three credits. To be in better alignment with current National Association
of Schools of Theatre (NAST) standards—which stipulate that theatre core and major be 65% of a
student’s total credit hours—we wish to add another eight credits of elective courses to the degree,
bringing the total to 78 credits. Making these credits electives will allow students room to take additional
design, technology, artistic, or production credit based on their interests.
