There is an admission audition which a prospective major must pass at the end of the first year to continue in this program. All students must take DANC 194: Freshman Seminar prior to auditioning for the major. Please explain/justify the new proposal or change. We are removing listings of specific semester/year for the required courses for the BA in Dance to avoid confusion as many of the courses have recently revised their schedules and more schedule changes are being currently proposed. We are also removing the requirement of THTR 315-Jazz III and replacing it with the requirement of DANC 165A-Dance Forms: African in order to ensure exposure to a wider dancetechnique vocabulary. We are adding THTR 106A-Theatre Production I: Running Crew to the required courses so that students have the opportunity to work backstage during a dance production. V Copies and Electronic Submission Once approved, the original, a paper copy and an electronic file are submitted to the Faculty Senate Office, UH 221 (camie.foos@mso.umt.edu).
