SA1415-: Resolution Holding University Accountable Upon the Passing of the Field
House Referendum

WHEREAS; On October 14th, 2014, a special referendum will be held to vote on the
field house project,
WHEREAS; the UW-L Student Association will have a significant increase in segregated
fees for the next 33 years if the referendum passes,
WHEREAS; the University has made a series of promises to the Student Association
regarding University funded projects that are contingent upon the passing of the
referendum including:
 The renovation of the Mitchell Field House for Gymnastics, ESS, and Wrestling
 The construction of an artificial turf soccer field on the field East of Reuter Hall
 The construction of a second artificial turf field
WHEREAS; the Student Association will will be bound to the results of the referendum,
WHEREAS; the Student Association has an expectation that the University does not
waiver from the promises that it has made if the referendum is passed,
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED; the Student Senate, on behalf of the Student
Association, request a written statement by October 10th, 2014 from the UW-L
Aministration committing the University to funding the projects that has been promised
upon the passing of the Field House Referendum.
