Call to Order
Student Center Name
a. There has been a hold put on the new student center name.
Campus legal and Larry’s office are looking into the process of
naming the building.
REC Outside Membership
a. Passed at last week’s senate meeting.
REC Relay for Life
a. The Rec is looking forward to getting a advanced approval on
the Relay for Life annual event for some date in April. Relay for
life is an annual event that is fully supported by UWL and has
been held in the REC for several years. The 2015 event is
Friday, April 24th, making it a challenge to plan next year’s
event while in the final stages of planning for this year. Without
the advanced approval, the Relay for Life planning committee
must wait six months. These extra six months will provide for
time to advertise. This is the tenth year of this event, even
though they do not have a date at this time the SSB committee
feels that whichever date that is chosen in April would be
approved. -Passed
