SA1415-: Resolution Requesting REC Memberships for non-UW-L Students

WHEREAS; The Recreational Eagle Center (REC) intends to provide the same level of service to students despite the proposed cut and is not wanting to cut the services provided to students;
WHEREAS; the REC is looking for a way to increase their revenue to offset their proposed budget cuts;
WHEREAS; REC Director Sue White has requested that the REC allows students from other universities to have memberships during summer and winter terms;
WHEREAS; the REC is not busy during these times and the addition of these memberships will not affect the service to UW-L Students;
WHEREAS; other UW Systems schools offer summer and winter intersession memberships to outside university students;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED; any student currently enrolled at another university who resides in the La Crosse area during the summer and winter intersessions may pay a user fee equal to the segregated fee paid by UW-L students for use at the Recreational
Eagle Center. The current fees are as follows:

2016 Winter Intersession: $19.00

2015 Summer Session: $44.00
