Office Services Specialist Job Description Paul D. Camp Community College seeks dynamic, qualified individuals for the position of Office Services Specialist for the Office of Admissions and Records. As a comprehensive community college, Paul D. Camp offers quality transfer degree programs, strong technical and preprofessional programs, and is known for its outreach to the community as a partner and leader in workforce development. The college seeks candidates committed to the mission of the comprehensive community college and experienced in working with a diverse student population, including adult learners and at-risk students. The successful candidate will be responsible for opening the office on designated days. Provide front office coverage and work with other front office members to ensure daily coverage. Make student phone calls as needed. Process warning, probation, suspension, and dismissal letters for Dean of Student Services at the conclusion of each semester. Assist with clerical duties associated with recruitment and retention. Process transcript requests and mail within 5 business days of receipt. Track transcript requests that are processed for reporting purposes. Conduct research when accounts are not accessible or visible in SIS. Scan documents using ImageNow and posting to accurate electronic folder. Collect and file confidential student records. Ability to multi-task. Ability to use sound judgement and critical thinking skills when determining students’ needs verses students’ requests. Ability to relate to potential students with diverse backgrounds. Work closely with the Registrar to provide excellent customer service and meet student needs in records management. Other clerical duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications Associate’s degree in public relations, communications, administrative support, or related field and/or equivalent training and experience. Knowledge of community college programs and an understanding of the community college missions. Ability to apply knowledge of policies and procedures daily. Excellent written and oral communication skills as well as strong interpersonal skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office applications or other comparable software. Ability to interact well with faculty and staff as it relates to providing excellent customer service to provide needed services for students. Ability to multi-task and maintain a high level of organization and attention to detail. Preferred Qualifications Bachelor’s degree preferred.
