DepartmentofStudentAffairsAdministration(SAA) SAAResearch&AdministrationGraduateAssistantship–PositionDescription 2016-17 ThisGAexperiencewillemphasizethefollowingACPA/NASPACompetencies: Organizational&HumanResourcesandAssessment,Evaluation,&Research. TheSAAGraduateAssistantwillhavethefollowingresponsibilities(twentyhoursperweek): 1. SAAResearch(60%) UnderthesupervisionofSAAfaculty,theGAwillassistwithresearch-relatedtaskstosupport theworkandgoalsoftheSAADepartment.Ingeneral,thisdependsonwhatresearchprojects receivefundingandtheareasoffocusofthefaculty.Specifictasksinclude: conductingliteraturereviewsoftheacademic,professional,orresearchliterature assistingwithwritingforpublication creatingquantitativeandqualitativeresearchinstrumentsinonlinesurveysite conductingdatacollectionanddataanalysis exploringgrantopportunitiesandwritingactualgrantproposals identifyingadditionalresourcestoenhancearesearchproject preparingmaterialsfornationalandregionalresearchpresentations preparingmaterialsforcourses,includingfindingappropriatecoursereadings,designing assignments,assemblingmaterialsinonlinecoursesite • preparingandconductingSAAspecificassessmentprojects 2.
