ASB Officer Positions The Taft College Executive Board acts as the official representatives of the Associated Student Body of Taft College. The following are the positions and responsibilities: President • Responsibilities include overseeing the weekly agendas, organizing weekly ASB Committee meetings, attending monthly Board Meetings, and facilitating and organizing ASB activities both on and off the campus. The President must fill any and all vacancies of the executive board, elective and appointive, created by resignation or disqualification if the vacancy is not filled within ten school days. The president must write a weekly synopsis of all events and issues pertaining to ASB for the webpage. Vice President • The VP must assume all duties of the president during his/her absence. The vice president must also attend the Planning Council Meetings and the Citizens Oversight Committee meetings. Other responsibilities include assisting the Secretary and Treasure in organizing the weekly agendas and monthly calendars, and facilitating and organizing ASB activities both on and off the campus. Secretary/Treasurer • Responsibilities include creating the weekly agenda the Monday prior the ASB committee meeting. It is the Secretary/Treasurer’s responsibility to have the ASB president and advisor view the agenda before it is placed on the Webs page. Other responsibilities include working with the Activities Coordinator to create the monthly calendar, filling out and handing in ASB Check Request, and balancing the ASB account. Interclub Commissioner • The interclub commissioner must act as the liaison between all other clubs and athletics. Responsibilities include organizing an interclub council committee to meet at the beginning of each month, working with the Director of Publicity in publicizing all athletic events, and organizing a calendar of athletic events for the web page. The interclub commissioner must also assist in all on and off campus activities. Activities Coordinator • Responsibilities include maintaining activities request to ensure no on-campus activities overlap, planning all ASB activities, and assisting the advisor in finding outside clients for activities. The Activity Coordinator must also manage the activities book and report all ASB activities. Other responsibilities include working with the Secretary/Treasurer with creating a calendar of events for ASB.
