When will my financial aid be applied on my student account?
Financial aid will begin applying to student accounts a few days prior to school starting
for those students that have completed all of the required steps and complied with all
additional information requested. All Grants, Direct and Perkins Loan funds will be
applied directly to your student account. You may view the UWSP financial aid web site
at www.uwsp.edu/finance.
What if my financial aid is more than my student bill?
When your financial aid exceeds the amount of your bill, you may be eligible for a
refund. You can receive this refund via direct deposit or in the form of a check.
You can apply for direct deposit of financial aid at this website:
www:uwsp.edu/DirectDeposit
What is required for future registrations?
A $100.00 registration deposit is required prior to your registration date each term.
Additionally, full payment of your account balance is required prior to registration.

direct deposit, make payments, check your financial aid, view your class schedule and

Understanding my student E-bill
•
•
•
•
•
Each time a new E-bill is created, students will be sent an email message to their
UWSP email account informing them that their E-bill statement is available to view
online. You will need your UWSP logon and password to access your E-bill.
When viewing your statement pay close attention to the statement date and
payment due date of the statement. Note that billing activity and payments
processed after the date of the bill will not appear on your billing statement until the
next billing date.
Students can view their billing-payment activity 24/7 on the “View Detailed Account
Information” webpage found under the Finances tab in “myPoint.”
Your “View Detailed Account Information” balance may not be the same as your
last E-bill balance. The “View Detailed Account Information” webpage will continue
to update nightly with new information.
The “View Detailed Account Information” webpage will not show the E-bill due
date, you will need to refer to your most recent E-bill.
Please note: Financial aid will not be applied to your account before the first bill
of each semester is processed. To determine your financial obligation, refer to
your awards letter (or view your awards on "myPoint.") Subtract any grants and
st
loans awarded for that semester from the amount of your 1 bill.
Which method of refund is more efficient?
We strongly recommend that students sign up for direct deposit. You will be sent
an email showing the dollar amount to be deposited to your bank account on the
following business day. If you decide not to use direct deposit, your refund check will
be mailed to your local address. You are responsible for keeping your address current
with UWSP.
WARNING: A wrong address can cause you costly delays. Refund checks and
other important items may be mailed to your local address, during the semester. Please
make sure your address is correct. You may verify and change your address in
“myPoint.”
1098-T Tax Forms
1098-T tax statement information will be sent to your UWSP email address prior

Online access to your 1098-T document can be found at:
