Inspiration Grant Criteria What criteria will be used to determine grant selection? Purpose The proposed event, program, or activity promotes service-oriented programs and social justice concepts The proposed event, program, or activity seeks to solve a problem or improve a situation, rather than maintain status quo The proposed event, program, or activity represents something new and innovative to this campus Scope The proposed event, program, or activity is accessible for all UWSP students Alternative or unique methods of advertising will be utilized in the promotion of the event, program, or activity The proposed event, program, or activity must be reasonably calculated to appeal to a significant portion of the UWSP student body as participants The proposed event, program, or activity allows for a high potential of interaction between presenters/hosts and those participating in the activity Clarity The proposed event, program, or activity has a clear purpose that is discernable from its description The stated purpose of the event represents at least one realistic and attainable objective Organization and Writing Conventions Applications should be written in an organized manner Please include any facts, research, ideas, and solutions your program aims to solve The proposed program dates and times are consistent with awarding period (minimum of 3-4 weeks prior to event date) Program applications reflect college-level writing including, correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation Grant applications will be denied if the proposed event, program, or activity: Is a fundraiser for the organization The student group profits as a result of the event It is a closed event, only open to organization members, specific groups, or student populations *The Grant Committee makes the final determination in whether grants are approved or denied. There is no appeal process.
