THEATRE TUSCALOOSA PRESENTS EXHIBIT OF THESPIAN ARTWORK
TUSCALOOSA, AL – Theatre Tuscaloosa will present a one-night-only art exhibit on Thursday, March 24, from 6:30 p.m.
until 9:00 p.m. in the Wilson Carr Rehearsal Hall, just off the lobby of the Bean-Brown Theatre on the Martin Campus of
Shelton State Community College (9500 Old Greensboro Rd).
“Theatre Artists, an Exhibit” will feature artwork by Paul Looney, John Paul Snead, and Bridget Winder, all of whom have
been involved with Theatre Tuscaloosa on more than one occasion.
Paul Looney, Theatre Tuscaloosa Artistic Director Emeritus, has directed more than a hundred shows at Theatre
Tuscaloosa. He also holds the title of Executive Producer of the Alabama Stage and Screen Hall of Fame. Looney has
received numerous Druid Arts Awards and the prestigious Governor’s Arts Award. Looney is recognized for his skills as a
director, designer, and performer.
John Paul Snead is a musical theatre graduate from The University of Alabama now pursuing a Master of Public
Administration at the University of Alabama at Birmingham. In 2010, he starred as Joseph in Theatre Tuscaloosa’s
production of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat. Other credits include The Sound of Music, Miscast!, and
How to Succeed in Business.
Bridget Winder, also a musical theatre graduate from UA, performed in Theatre Tuscaloosa’s productions of Gypsy and
Bye Bye Birdie. Following her dream of becoming a professional actor, Winder moved to Los Angeles, California, where
she is now a working artist. Bridget Winder Art is currently on tour making its final debut in her adopted hometown of
Tuscaloosa.
“We are so proud of these three folks. Not only are they talented thespians, they are also amazing visual artists,” says
Tina Turley, Executive Producer of Theatre Tuscaloosa. “We’re hosting this event to show that Tuscaloosa talent runs
deep!”
Admission will consist of a pay-what-you-will donation benefitting Theatre Tuscaloosa. Guests will enjoy the art of
display along with live music and light refreshments.
