Community Journalism Community Journalism Certificate 21 hours This program offered by School of Communications/ Communications and Journalism Department The certificate program in community journalism provides students with a basic understanding of the principles of covering communities as a journalist including reporting, researching and crafting stories. In addition, they will learn the fundamentals of state and local government as well as the basic principles governing responsible, effective journalism.
