Title: INVESTIGATION INTO THE STRUCTURAL BEHAVIOUR OF AN ELECTRIC VEHICLE,
FROM THE PERSPECTIVE OF PASSIVE SAFETY.
Introduction:
There is little experience on the potential passenger injuries in head on or rear car crashes.
Attention should focus on the rear end structure because of the location of the electric battery
in the luggage compartment.
Project Brief:
1. Analyze the modifications required in the car body and battery, attaching parts to fulfil
crash legislations.
2. Propose specific design changes to achieve the goal.
3. Propose the minimum test program to validate the changes in terms of virtual and/or
physical tests.
