Program Learning Outcomes
1. Readconstructiondrawingsandspecificationsandapplyknowledgewhenestimatingandmanaging
projects;
2. Explaintheneedforsafetyawarenessintheconstructionindustryandapplysafetyregulationsonthe
jobsite;
3. Communicateprofessionally,bothverballyandinwriting;
4. Usesoftwareapplicationsinareasofprojectadministration,estimating,planning,andscheduling;

Program Assessment
Theprogramwillbeassessedbymeasurementsbywhichthedepartmentcansystematicallyevaluatestudent
achievementandprogramgoals.Theoverallprogramisassessedperthecycleestablishedbythecollegewith
datafromtheofficeofInstitutionalResearch.
Course Assessments
Individualcourselearningoutcomesareassessedannuallybythecoursecoordinatorswithmethodsand
measurementsdefinedforeachcourse.Eachcourselearningoutcomeiscomparedtopriorcycleresultsand
musthaveaminimumscoreof70%.Assessmentdataisusedtorevisedeliveryofcoursematerialfor
subsequentsemesters,withthegoalofimprovedassessments.
Student Surveys
Studentsaresurveyedattheendoftheacademicyeartocollectdataforemploymentandprogram
comments.Dataforemploymentincludewhetherornotstudentsareemployed,whethertheyareemployed
inaconstructionrelatedfield,inwhatareaoftheindustryaretheyworking,andwhattheirsalariesare.They
arealsogiventheopportunitytocommentontheprogram.
Employer Surveys
Asurveyisgiventoemployerstoprovidefeedbackonrecentgraduates.Thesurveycollectsdataon
workforcereadinessandstudentperformance.Employersarealsogiventheopportunitytocommentonthe
program.
