Chabot College/Las Positas College March 1994 Course Outline for Automotive Technology 60B AUTOMOTIVE ELECTRICS/ELECTRONICS II Catalog Description: 60B - Automotive Electrics/Electronics II (May be repeated three times) 4 units Continuation of Automotive Technology 60A with emphasis on diagnosis and repair of electrical/electronic components including computer controlled circuits/systems using schematics, diagnostic procedures and equipment; headlamp adjusting and repair. Prerequisite: Automotive Technology 60A or equivalent. 2 hours lecture, 6 hours laboratory. Expected Outcomes for Students: Upon completion of the course, the student should be able to: 1. demonstrate skills using diagnostic testing equipment to troubleshoot and repair more complex automotive circuits and components; 2. pass with a minimum score of 70% correct the material on the Bureau of Automotive Repair Headlamp Adjuster's licensing exam.
