Position Responsibilities:
This position is responsible for the direction and leadership of an analytical services
group that forms part of the Sherwin-Williams Analytical Resource Center.
Principal accountabilities include:
•Ensuring the coordination, prioritization and timely completion of analytical service work
in support of Product Finishes and Automotive.
•Leading and supporting the identification, development and deployment of new
methods, tools and systems for analytical testing of coatings and related materials.
•Leading and driving continuous improvement programs focused on improving quality of
service.
•Recommending budget requirements and capital purchases.
•Training, developing, mentoring and evaluation of new and existing employees.
•Ensuring adherence of the group to safety, housekeeping and quality standards.
Experience Required:
Basic Qualifications:
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- 5+ years experience working in an industrial analytical lab
- 2-3 years management or mentoring experience
Education Required:
Basic Qualifications:
Bachelor’s of Science degree including 2 semesters of General Chemistry and 2
semesters of Organic Chemistry
Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Chemical Engineering or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
Advanced degree (MS/Ph.D) in Analytical Chemistry or related field
Travel Required:
Yes - 10%
