Prior to joining Cassels Brock as an associate, she was both a summer and articling student at the firm. During her articles, she gained valuable corporate and advocacy experience with the Financial Services, Securities and Advocacy Groups. She assisted with a number of corporate transactions including international financings, mergers and acquisitions and cross-border insolvencies and restructurings. Hilary received her J.D. from Osgoode Hall Law School in 2014 where she was a recipient of the Legal and Literary Society Award for contribution to student life. As a student she worked as a research assistant to Associate Dean Trevor Farrow and Professor Allan Hutchinson, and was a member of the Wilson Moot Team. Hilary was also a producer and choreographer for Osgoode Hall’s Mock Trial, an annual musical sketch comedy show performed by Osgoode students and faculty. In the fall of 2013, she spent a term studying abroad at the University of Copenhagen where she studied EU competition and intellectual property law. Prior to studying law, Hilary graduated on the Dean’s List from Queen’s University with a Bachelor of Physical Health and Education and a Bachelor of Sciences, majoring in Life Sciences.
