Co-Chair Ruben Pola called and emergency meeting for committee to decide on the type of badge
the college will use. The type of badge for selection: Blank Badge (nothing but the bar code),
Picture or no picture & color scheme.
Ruben informed the committee that everyone that needs access will have it. Library employee
Debbie Soares suggested using the same “ID” card that’s used for Student & Faculty/Staff with the
“W” number. Ruben said he would look into this idea.
Ruben will address and issue regarding class credits for faculty that allow students to work on
projects after class hours with Division Dean Gary Carter of Arts & Humanities.
Each Division must let Security know the area(s) their staff and faculty will need access.
The committee voted on the following color scheme: M&O Lt. Blue, Faculty Gold, Classified Green
& Security Dark Blues. The type of badge the majority voted no picture.
