Analysis of data and subsequent revisions 4 Driving Force for SLOA at California Community Colleges • In California, ACCJC-WASC adopted in 2002, a new accreditation standards that reinforced a national initiative in higher education. • Key standard: II.A.1.c. The institution identifies student learning outcomes for courses, programs, certificates, and degrees; assesses student achievement of those outcomes; and uses assessment results to make improvements. 5 Chabot’s Student Learning Outcomes and Assessment Committee.
