Tech Traditions Student Assistant
We are looking for a student assistant for a part-time retail sales position working at Tech
Traditions, the retail store for the Texas Tech Alumni Association. The beginning date for this
job is June 2016.
The person must interact well with others and like working with the public. This person will be
selling class rings, graduation announcements, diploma frames, and a variety of other gift items
as well as packaging and mailing orders. There is also clerical work involved such as filing and
working with the Ring Savings Program. Experience and knowledge of Excel will be important.
The sales student assistant is responsible for:




Retail Sales
Packing and Shipping Orders
Miscellaneous Clerical Duties
Working with Excel Spreadsheets
This is a hands-on position of up to 20 hours per week. The preferred candidate will have a
passion for Texas Tech University, an outgoing personality, and the ability to work as a team
player.
